Discovering your exciting role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, optimizing, and improving processes that drive the production of high-quality products. This position blends hands-on problem-solving, data analysis, and innovation to enhance efficiency, implement automation, and improve safety and quality across the manufacturing floor. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new technologies, refine processes, and ensure our operations run at their best.


Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Excellence: Apply a deep understanding of equipment used in the manufacture of air control products, including stainless steel sheet, plate, and structural materials. Recommend and implement automation initiatives, analyze material handling
  • systems, and propose process improvements that enhance quality and productivity.
  • Design and Innovation: Design and develop custom tools, fixtures, and equipment that support the manufacture of our products. Work with equipment manufacturers to communicate design requirements, operational needs, and process specifications. Establish procedures for new equipment and perform ROI analyses for proposed improvements.
  • Applications and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for lean implementation and process optimization. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to plan, train, and implement new systems or equipment. Anticipate challenges, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations.
  • Vendor and Business Support: Serve as a professional representative of the company when interacting with vendors and contractors. Assist with capital expenditure planning and product cost analysis to support continuous improvement and cost control.
  • Operational Excellence: Apply company policies and lean principles to sustain continuous quality improvement (CQI). Develop and maintain process documentation and collaborate closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure alignment and consistency across operations.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to lean manufacturing practices and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of automation, material handling, and process design.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM (solid modeling and assemblies).
  • Working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, machining, and electrostatic coating processes.
  • Experience with basic power and control circuit design practices.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability to develop ROI analyses, evaluate trends, and apply logical reasoning to process improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other MS Office Suite programs.
  • Proven hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast paced environment.
