We are seeking Journeyman Heavy Duty Truck & Transport Mechanics for an esteemed shop in Edmonton. These are premium positions with with a multibranch organization that has been time-tested for over three decades. Dedicate your craft to quality repair in the maintenance of on-highway trucks while gaining access to manufacturer support and factory training. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and conduct bumper to bumper repairs on a variety of heavy duty commercial trucks 
• Utilizing computer diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair complex issues
• Maintain all truck systems & components from electrical, electronic, diesel, fuel, exhaust, emission, transmission, clutch, drive shaft, steering, suspension, computer controlled, braking and air systems.
• Adhering to safety procedures and regulations at all times
• Documenting all repairs and maintenance performed, including parts and labor used
• Ordering parts and maintenance logs

Qualifications:

• Alberta Journeyman Certificate or Red Seal in Heavy Equipment Technician - Truck and Transport Mechanic
• Proven professional experience maintaining on-highway heavy duty trucks and diesel engines 
• Ownership of own tools
• Experience with computer diagnostic tools and software

Compensation:

• $46.00 - $49.00/hour to start.
• Health insurance, dental, disability, life insurance, RRSP match, paid time off and tuition reimbursement 
• Tool & Boot allowance

Shift:

• Shift work/rotation, two weeks of day shift, one week of afternoon shift
• Day shift, 7:30am to 4:30pm (Monday to Friday with one Saturday)
• Afternoon shift, 2:30pm to 11:00pm (Monday to Friday, $2.00/hour shift premium)
