We are seeking Heavy Duty Mechanics (Journeyman or 3rd to 4th year Apprentices) for an esteemed shop in Grande Prairie. These are premium positions with with a multibranch organization that has been time-tested for over three decades. Dedicate your craft to quality repair in the maintenance of on-highway trucks while gaining access to manufacturer support and factory training. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and conduct bumper to bumper repairs on a variety of heavy duty commercial trucks 
• Routine maintenance and inspections 
• Adhering to safety procedures and regulations at all times
• Documenting all repairs and maintenance performed, including parts and labor used
• Ordering parts and maintenance logs
• Communicating with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective repairs and maintenance

Qualifications:

• Alberta Journeyman Certificate or Red Seal in Heavy Equipment Technician - Truck and Transport Mechanic
• Alberta Apprenticeship Certificate.
• Proven professional experience maintaining on-highway heavy duty trucks and diesel engines 
• Ownership of own tools

Compensation:

• $43.00 - $49.00/hour to start.
• Health insurance, dental, disability, life insurance, RRSP match, paid time off and tuition reimbursement 
• Tool & Boot allowance

Shift:

• Days, 8:00am to 5:30pm (Monday to Friday).
