Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a growing national insurance group seeking an experienced executive to lead strategy and product development for its Inland Marine portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the President of the business unit, offering the opportunity to shape underwriting standards, oversee portfolio performance, and influence company-wide strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do:
- Drive the development and execution of underwriting strategy for Inland Marine products
- Evaluate portfolio composition and implement risk strategies to support long-term profitability
- Collaborate with actuarial, regional underwriting, and claims teams to develop pricing and risk management approaches
- Lead product innovation efforts, staying ahead of industry trends and emerging risks
- Establish underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and quality standards
- Oversee internal and external relationships to ensure alignment with underwriting goals
- Participate in senior leadership meetings to provide strategic input and progress updates
- Mentor and support underwriters and underwriting leaders across the organization
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in Inland Marine and Property underwriting, including product and portfolio leadership
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence underwriting strategy
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills
- Experience working in complex, dynamic environments with a focus on innovation and collaboration
- Willingness to travel up to 20%

- Bachelor's degree
