Process Technician
Salary: £43,203 – £50,828 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours: Full-time, rotating shift pattern

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the plant in a safe, compliant and efficient manner on a rotating shift basis.
- Monitor and operate key systems including waste handling, boiler and furnace, steam turbine generator, ash handling, water treatment, conveyors and filter systems.
- Interrogate and control complex Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and/or SCADA systems.
- Carry out process and equipment fault diagnosis and rectification.
- Complete operational logs and conduct accurate shift handovers.
- Perform routine plant testing and ensure safe shutdown procedures when required.
- Support operational improvements, workplace investigations and corrective actions.
- Act as a Competent and Authorised Person for plant isolations under site safety rules.
- Support health, safety and environmental performance, including inspections and emergency response duties.
About You:
- A broad technical background in plant operations or maintenance.
- Experience with DCS and/or SCADA systems.
- Hands-on experience with large boilers, rotating equipment or similar process plant.
- Strong understanding of operational procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Ability to carry out front-line maintenance.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a technical or science subject preferred, though relevant experience will be considered.
- IOSH Managing Safely training (or willingness to complete).
- Competent IT skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS systems etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
