Network Analyst
Location: Remote with 50% travel

Overview:
Join a fast-growing energy company supporting the expansion and connectivity of over 60+ power plants across the U.S. We're seeking a self-motivated and well-rounded Network Analyst or Network Engineer who thrives in independent fieldwork, customer-facing roles, and hands-on networking support. This position is contract-to-hire with long-term potential and a great team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote network support for power plant operations across 9 states
- Travel approximately 50% (1 week on/1 week off), reducing over time as systems stabilize
- Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems (Meraki, AvaLAN, Proxim)
- Learn and support SD-WAN, Starlink, point-to-point wireless, and general plant connectivity
- Interface professionally with plant managers and serve as the face of IT at each site
- Assist with VOIP/telecom, cabling, database testing, and desktop/user support
- Follow all safety protocols (climbing ladders, lifting equipment, using the PPE provided)
- Document network issues and solutions, and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Spend 2–3 months shadowing senior engineers (training in Houston required)
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Experience with Meraki wireless and point-to-point wireless systems
- Comfortable working independently and traveling to remote plant sites
- Excellent communication, customer service, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to physically install hardware and navigate plant environments
- TWIC card and NERC certification (can be obtained post-hire)
- Must pass background check and drug screen
