Senior IT System Administrator

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned Senior IT System Administrator to lead projects, optimize hybrid environments, and support enterprise systems. This role combines strategic planning, hands-on administration, and mentoring responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure projects across cloud and on-prem environments (AWS, Azure, Office 365, VMware, Okta).
• Translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure system uptime, security, and compliance.
• Automate tasks and improve system performance via scripting.
• Maintain documentation and provide Tier III support.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 10+ years in systems/infrastructure engineering.
• Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in AWS/Azure, Office 365, Active Directory, VMware.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs and travel occasionally (<10%).

Preferred Skills

• Cloud networking (VPC, VNET, Security Groups).
• AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, AppStream).
• Virtual desktops (AWS Workspaces, Azure Virtual Desktop).
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Okta/IAM, Intune, Linux administration.
