About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Project Engineer with a background in industrial construction to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, managing complex projects in manufacturing, heavy industrial, automotive, or other large-scale industrial sectors. The ideal candidate has experience supporting project teams, coordinating field operations, and ensuring successful project execution from pre-construction through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution for large-scale industrial construction projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor project budgets, track costs, and assist with forecasting to keep projects within financial targets.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections to support quality control, safety compliance, and construction progress.
  • Assist with procurement, material management, and logistics to maintain project efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders to resolve design and construction challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial construction projects, including manufacturing plants, automotive facilities, heavy industrial, or similar sectors.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations, quality control procedures, and industrial construction best practices.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate as needed for project assignments.
