Position Summary
Seeking a driven and experienced SUE Project Manager to lead our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for launching and managing field projects, developing client relationships, and overseeing office and field teams. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in utility location and project management, combined with the ability to grow market presence and ensure quality delivery across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities

Field & Crew Management: Direct daily field activities for utility locating crews. Ensure accurate identification and mapping of underground utilities.

Project Oversight: Lead project budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and profitability tracking. Prepare and present proposals and technical reports.

Client Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for clients. Manage expectations, attend project meetings, and foster long-term relationships.

Staff Supervision: Oversee both field and office personnel. Handle staffing plans, training, and workload management.

Technical Expertise: Interpret construction plans, utility records, and survey data. Apply engineering principles and technologies to solve field challenges.

Compliance & Quality Control: Maintain job-specific safety standards and ensure high-quality deliverables in accordance with company and client expectations.

Administrative Duties: Manage billing processes, monitor accounts receivable, and oversee data reporting for completed fieldwork.
Qualifications

Experience: 2–5 years in utility-related work, specifically within Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and project management.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; FDOT project experience strongly preferred.

Licensure: Valid U.S. Driver’s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

- Proficient in interpreting civil engineering and survey plans
- Strong decision-making and communication skills
- Comfortable with physical fieldwork (ability to lift up to 60 lbs)
- Familiarity with relevant industry tools, standards, and practices
