Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Salary: $90,000–$150,000
Location: Yuma, AZ
Position Type: Short-term contract (3–4 months) with the opportunity to transition to a full-time role. Candidates can either take on the Yuma project as a contractor or as a full-time employee. Per diem available for those based in Phoenix.
Position Overview:
An experienced Construction Superintendent is needed to lead an active industrial project in Yuma, AZ. This hands-on role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in steel erection and pipe installation who excels in fast-paced field environments. While the role begins as a project-based assignment, there is strong potential for it to become a permanent position within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations on-site, ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.
- Supervise and coordinate steel erection and piping installation.
- Lead field crews and subcontractors while ensuring strict safety and quality control.
- Interpret and work from construction drawings and piping schematics.
- Address and troubleshoot field issues as they arise.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards and site safety procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to achieve project milestones.
- Maintain detailed daily reports and logs of project progress.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent on industrial or commercial projects.
- Strong technical knowledge in steel erection and mechanical/process piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and schematics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to be on-site in Yuma, AZ for the full duration of the project.
