Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee heavy civil and site development projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong field knowledge in grading, utilities, and site development work. You must be organized, self-motivated, and capable of coordinating crews, subcontractors, and vendors while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of site development projects including grading, earthwork, underground utilities, and paving.
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure timely project delivery.
- Lead and direct field crews, providing guidance and problem-solving on-site.
- Read and interpret plans, specs, and survey layouts; ensure work is performed to design and code requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and material logs.
- Enforce company and regulatory safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe job site.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
- Communicate with clients, owners, and municipalities as needed to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications

5+ years of experience in heavy civil or site development field supervision.
- Strong understanding of grading, utility installation, and site preparation work.
- Knowledge of local codes and construction practices in Orange County, Osceola County, and the City of Orlando.
- Proven ability to lead crews, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and manage jobsite productivity.
- Ability to read construction drawings, grading plans, and as-builts.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Comfortable using tablets or basic field technology for reporting and communication.
Preferred Experience
- Background in commercial site development.
- Familiarity with Agtek or GPS machine control technology.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or fast-paced site schedules.
