Measurement Technician

We are hiring a detail-oriented and professional Countertop Field Measurement Technician – Templator to join a leading stone fabrication company. In this hands-on role, you’ll use a laser-based system to collect digital measurements and create templated drawings for custom stone countertops.
You’ll travel from your home directly to customer job sites—no daily trips to the shop required. A company vehicle will be provided to support your route. If you enjoy working independently, engaging with clients, and ensuring precision on every project, this is an excellent fit.
- Travel daily from your home to residential and light commercial job sites to perform digital field measurements
- Use laser-based templating equipment (ProLiner preferred) to create precise countertop templates
- Assess job site readiness—including cabinet leveling, appliance availability, and clearance checks
- Explain the templating process and installation expectations to customers on-site
- Verify accuracy using a tape measure and flag any installation risks or challenges
- Take clear job site photos for use by fabrication and installation teams
- Communicate field updates with the production office and attend team meetings and training sessions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate measurements
- Independent worker with strong communication and follow-through
- Professional appearance and customer-facing communication skills
- Willingness to learn digital templating systems and use field technology (ProLiner experience preferred)
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certification is a plus
- 1–2 years of experience in countertop installation, templating, or fabrication preferred
- CAD experience is highly valuable
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using basic hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to pass background check for access to national retail job sites (Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.)
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform field-based tasks
- Field-based role with daily travel to job sites
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Exposure to construction environments, dust, noise, and changing weather
