Work Setting/Territory: Remote; must be based in the Seattle metro area with responsibility for a key client relationship in Redmond
Compensation: $123,000–$172,000 base salary + quarterly bonuses, top performers exceeding $250K
Bonus Structure: This role also includes a quarterly bonus plan targeted at 30% of base salary, with an acceleration curve rewarding overperformance—top earners may achieve up to 2.5x their target bonus.

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a driven Sales Director based in the Seattle area to support a high-profile global customer within the datacom sector. This is a strategic, customer-facing role focused on managing the full sales process while nurturing and expanding relationships within one of the world’s largest hyperscaler accounts. You will be part of a broader national sales structure and collaborate cross-functionally with product management, R&D, quality, and operations teams.
This role is ideal for an experienced technical sales professional with a solid background in datacom, optical networking, or optoelectronics—especially those who have supported hyperscaler clients and understand the rigor and pace of this environment. This person would be working with a sales specialist in the area.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales process from prospecting to close for a major hyperscaler customer headquartered in Redmond
- Develop deep, strategic relationships with a global technology leader and serve as the primary commercial liaison
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, operations, R&D, and quality to deliver customized solutions
- Lead account strategy, new business development, and revenue growth across networking and materials segments
- Represent the company at trade shows, webinars, and customer visits
- Coordinate internal reporting, forecasting, and budgeting in alignment with corporate sales objectives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable export control programs
- Travel up to 25%, primarily domestic, as needed to support the customer relationship
What You Bring
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience in datacom, optical communications, optoelectronics, or networking technologies
- Proven success supporting or selling to large hyperscalers (Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field)
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; comfortable working across time zones and departments
- Familiarity with customer requirements and operational standards in the datacom space
- Highly motivated and collaborative with a strategic mindset
Bonus if you have:
- Prior experience directly supporting Microsoft or other Tier 1 hyperscaler customers
- Background working with companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, Broadcom, IBM, Juniper, Arista, Marvell, or similar
