Position Title: Geotechnical Department Manager

Location: Fort Collins, CO (relocation assistance available)

Base Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 + Discretionary Bonuses

What You Bring

B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or related Engineering field (M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred).

Minimum of 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience, including leadership and staff management.

Professional Engineer (PE) License.


What You’ll Do

Manage geotechnical projects from start to finish, including foundation design, slope stability analysis, and earth retention systems.

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, technicians, and administrative staff.

Oversee project deliverables, including geotechnical reports, letters, and PE-stamped final reviews.

Coordinate all aspects of subsurface explorations, including drilling operations, lab testing, and data analysis.

Direct project execution, handling budgeting, scheduling, and client communications to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

Cultivate strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities to drive department growth.

Support team development through hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

Manage project finances, including invoices, change orders, and profitability tracking.

Contribute to company-wide initiatives, focusing on process improvements and shareholder engagement.
