Senior Plant Human Resources Manager

Job Type: Full Time, Direct Hire

Location: Alexandria, LA (onsite)

Travel: Minimal travel to Tennessee and Ohio 1–2 times/year

Pay Rate: $120,000 – $150,000 annually


About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Plant Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at a large manufacturing facility while also providing support to two smaller sites in Tennessee and Ohio. In this role, you will:

  • Oversee HR operations for around 400 employees at the main plant and 80 employees at the two smaller sites, with responsibility for workforce planning, hiring, coaching, counseling, and investigations
  • Lead and mentor HR staff, including one direct report and several indirect reports
  • Drive alignment of HR best practices across multiple sites and ensure compliance with corporate initiatives
  • Support talent management, including assessment, development, and employee relations in a dynamic production environment
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to advance lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Adapt to shifting workforce needs, including headcount planning and potential reductions during production changes
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders, from executives to plant employees, to state representatives and corporate visitors

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Proven background in employee relations, coaching, counseling, and workplace investigations
  • Experience leading HR staff and driving cross-functional initiatives
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work hands-on in a blue-collar environment while adapting communication across all levels of the organization
  • Strong decision-making skills with comfort in fast-paced, dynamic settings
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field preferred
