Job Title: Trainee Process Operative

Location: Tewkesbury

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Rate: £14.12 per hour

Hours: 37.5 per week



We are seeking a reliable and methodical individual with excellent communication skills to join our production team as a Trainee Process Operative. This role offers a clear and structured career path within the dairy industry, including training opportunities to progress from trainee to full Process Operative and beyond, potentially advancing to a Process Technician role


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely intake, control, and process products in a hygienic environment.
  • Prepare and operate machinery, including CIP (Clean-in-Place) equipment, in line with company standards and food safety legislation.
  • Monitor health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining clear communication across teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot issues and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Train on internal tanks and pasteurisation processes while working toward a Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.

Requirements / Skills

  • Previous experience in food production is preferred; however, proactive candidates with precision and accuracy in fast-paced environments will also be considered.
  • Methodical and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-player mindset.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing demands.
  • Adherence to food hygiene standards: only one solid wedding band is permitted; jewellery, makeup, perfumes, and strong deodorants are not allowed in factory areas.
