POSITION: Recruiting Coordinator

LOCATION: Washington, DC (Hybrid – 3 days in-office/2 remote)

SCHEDULE: 8:30AM-5:30PM

SALARY: $48,000

REPORTS TO: Branch Lead and Managing Director

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Recruiting Coordinator will join our team in a support role, geared towards long-term growth and promotion into either a Recruiter or Account Representative role, depending on business need and individual affinity.

 

As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will support our HR and Operations functions with administrative tasks related to payroll, benefits administration and vendor communication while also cultivating talent pools of nonprofit professionals. This entails interviewing, sourcing, and networking with our team to share candidate profiles and help find niche talent. This is a growth-tract role where you'll gain valuable insights into the recruiting profession, staffing industry, client services, and administrative tasks.



This role caters to individuals with a strong customer service baseline who are motivated to learn the recruitment profession and work in a dynamic environment, set and achieve goals, and have a growth mindset.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred

·       Prior experience working in a customer service lead role required (Retail Manager, Restaurant Manager, etc)

·       Exposure to nonprofits a plus

·       People-person who has excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       A positive attitude, curious and receptive to feedback

·       Excellent writing skills and attention to detail

·       Accountable, responsible, and not afraid to ask questions

·       Ability to work in-office three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday) and attend in-person events outside of regular business hours

·       Technologically savvy with high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite required

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

·       Screen general talent for the local candidate pool including phone screens and formal in-person interviews

·       Answer phone calls from prospective clients and candidates requesting more information on our main phone line

·       Assist our Operations Manager with administrative tasks including:

o  Benefits administration

o  Vendor communication

o  Backup for payroll processing

o  Posting jobs on job boards

o  Managing general inboxes and forwarding inquiries to the correct person

·       Support Recruiters with sourcing efforts, identifying talent that aligns with their open orders using our existing tools like Loxo Source, Indeed Resume Bank and LinkedIn

·       Process talent in the database to include proper coding and inviting them to interviews

·       Attend local events to network with nonprofit job-seekers and hiring managers including job fairs, happy hours, lunch and learns, coffee meet ups, etc.

·       Assist with organizing candidate and client-focused events, including Open Houses,  Career Mapping workshops and Webinars

·       Take on additional projects under the direction of the Managing Director
