We are seeking a Temporary, Part-time Development Associate to support the nonprofit organization's fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This is a Hybrid, Part-time, Temporary role located in Manhattan, New York. 


ORGANIZATION: News and Media Nonprofit

LOCATION: Hybrid- Tuesday and Thursday in person- Manhattan, New York

POSITION TITLE: Development Associate

SCHEDULE: 20 hours per week

DURATION: 2 months

Pay- $25/hr - $26/hr


Is This Your Dream Job? This role will assist with donor database management, fundraising campaigns, communications, and administrative support for the development team.


 Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 2–3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising
  • Experience working with donor or constituent databases (CiviCRM or Raiser’s Edge preferred)
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus
  • Skilled with MS Office, including Mail Merges


How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Support fundraising initiatives, including campaigns, events, and donor outreach
  • Maintain and update donor and constituent records in the database
  • Assist with donor communications, acknowledgments, and stewardship activities
  • Help prepare fundraising materials and reports
  • Manage multiple projects and administrative tasks to support the development team
