We are currently in search of a Government Grant Biller for a Housing Services Nonprofit. The position is Hybrid in New York, NY (Midtown Manhattan). This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position with an anticipated annual salary of $70,000 to $75,000.

LOCATION: New York, NY (Midtown Manhattan)

POSITION TITLE: Government Grant Biller

SCHEDULE: Full-time, 35 hours/week, Hybrid – likely 2 to 3 days onsite – likely 2 to 3 days remote, 9 to 5 OR 9:30 to 5:30

DURATION: Temporary to Permanent

HOURLY RATE: $26.00 - $30.00

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Government Grant Biller reports to the Manager of Government Contracts. This position manages the fiscal activities of the government contracts portfolio and provides accurate and timely government contract-related financial information. This includes adherence and compliance with government contracts, fiscal guidelines, and regulations, as well as the organization’s policies and procedures.

 

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

·       2+ years of nonprofit experience with government contract billing required

·       Intermediate to High Intermediate Excel ability required (basic analysis, pivot tables, formulas, SUMIFS, V/H/X Lookups)

·       Accounting/Finance background required

·       Experience in billing with the Department of Health Services is a major plus but not required

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

· Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of assigned contract bills and related financial reports

·Assist in contract renewals and registrations

·Prepare annual budgets and budget modifications

·Ensure contract cost allocations match approved budgets and communicate allocation variances with the Manager of Government Contacts

·Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis needed for monthly program meetings

·Provide various financial analysis as needed

·Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of all reporting requirements of the organization’s funding agencies and contracts (Provide updated info from funder to the team)

·Perform other duties by the manager, director, or controller
