We are currently in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a global Christian humanitarian aid and development organization. This is an on-site position with flexibility in location across the United States. This is a full-time, permanent position.


ORGANIZATION TYPE: Christian International Development & Humanitarian Aid Nonprofit

LOCATION: Onsite with flexibility in location across the United States

POSITION TITLE: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week

DURATION: Permanent – Direct Hire

ANNUAL SALARY: $285,000.00-$315,000.00

This CFO is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and a transformational partner to the overall organization. This Christian humanitarian aid and international development organization is entering an exciting phase of growth and innovation, including revenue diversification, enterprise transformation, and the development of new commercialization and innovation initiatives. This leader will move beyond traditional financial stewardship to help shape organizational strategy, strengthen long-term sustainability, and support global impact.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 7+ years of executive-level finance leadership experience required
  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience required
  • Experience supporting organizations with annual budgets or revenues exceeding $100M
  • Global nonprofit, NGO, social enterprise, or mission-driven organization experience preferred
  • Experience supporting multiple revenue streams, including philanthropic, government/institutional, and earned income preferred
  • Experience supporting innovation, commercialization, or new venture initiatives preferred
  • Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation and change initiatives
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence enterprise-wide decision-making


How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Partner with the CEO, Board, and Executive Leadership Team to develop and execute organizational strategy
  • Oversee accounting, treasury, audit, tax, compliance, risk management, and financial reporting functions
  • Serve as the primary financial advisor to the Board and Finance/Audit Committees
  • Support revenue diversification efforts across philanthropic, institutional, and innovation-based funding streams
  • Build dashboards, analytics, and decision-support tools to support organizational planning   
  • Develop financial frameworks to evaluate investments, partnerships, and emerging business opportunities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team that serves as a strategic business partner across the organization
  • Drive process improvements, operational effectiveness, and enterprise transformation initiatives
