A mission-driven nonprofit is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to provide administration, operational, and project management support. This is a full-time, In-person, temporary-to-permanent role based in Schaumburg, Illinois.

LOCATION: Schaumburg, Illinois

POSITION TITLE: Administrative Coordinator

SCHEDULE: 9 am - 5 pm In person

DURATION: Temporary to Permanent

HOURLY RATE: $28/hr - $31/hr 


Is This Your Dream Job? This role is responsible for managing executive calendars, coordinating meetings and committee activities, tracking projects, and supporting day-to-day operations to ensure the department runs efficiently. 


 Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 3+ years of experience providing administrative support, project coordination, or operations support.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, association, government affairs, and public policy is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft professional correspondence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with Monday.com or other project management software is a plus.


How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Manage calendars, schedules, and meeting logistics for department leadership.
  • Coordinate committee, task force, and conference call logistics, including agendas, meeting materials, notes, and follow-up action items.
  • Provide project coordination and administrative support across the Advocacy & Policy team.
  • Track departmental projects, timelines, and assignments using Monday.com and other shared tools.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and other department materials.
  • Assist with mailings, data entry, and general administrative tasks.
  • Support office operations and serve as backup for office coordination when needed.
