We are currently in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a faith-based international development organization. This position is based onsite in Arizona. This is a full-time, permanent position.

SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week

DURATION: Permanent – Direct Hire

ANNUAL SALARY: $250,000.00 - $300,000.00

This is an opportunity for an accomplished finance executive to help shape the future of a global mission-driven organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic leadership across financial planning, organizational growth, innovation initiatives, and enterprise decision-making.

The organization is evolving its operating model to support new opportunities for impact, requiring a leader who can strengthen financial stewardship while helping the organization navigate expansion, revenue diversification, and long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable in the boardroom, with executive leadership, and leading a high-performing finance function.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• 13+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting leadership
• 8+ years of senior executive finance experience
• Experience overseeing finance for organizations with revenues or budgets multi-million dollar budgets
• Proven ability to lead organizations through periods of growth, change, or transformation
• Experience managing complex financial operations across multiple locations or regions
• Experience supporting diverse revenue sources, including philanthropy, institutional funding, grants, contracts, or earned revenue
• Experience evaluating new business models, innovation initiatives, or commercialization efforts preferred
• Strong partnership experience with Boards, executive leadership teams, and key stakeholders
• Exceptional communication, strategic planning, and leadership skills

How You Will Spend Your Day:

• Lead the organization's financial strategy, planning, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling
• Provide executive leadership on financial sustainability, resource allocation, and organizational performance
• Advise the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive leaders on financial opportunities, risks, and strategic decisions
• Direct accounting, financial reporting, audit, treasury, tax, compliance, and internal control functions
• Support the development of new revenue opportunities and financial models that advance organizational growth
• Evaluate investments, partnerships, and strategic initiatives through both mission and financial lenses
• Strengthen organizational forecasting, financial visibility, and data-driven decision-making capabilities
• Build and mentor a finance team that delivers exceptional service and support across the enterprise
