We are currently in search of a Development Manager for a Behavioral Health and Social Services organization located in Round Lake, IL. This is a Part-Time (20 hrs./wk.), In-Person or Remote, Temporary (through Nov. 2026) assignment.

POSITION TITLE: Development Manager

SCHEDULE: Part Time (20 hours/week); In Person (2-3 days in office) or Fully Remote

DURATION: Temporary (through Nov. 2026)

HOURLY RATE: $34-36/hr. DOE

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Development Manager will lead fundraising and development efforts for the organization's Frontline Care Center. The position plays a key role in managing grants, donor relations, event coordination, and communication efforts that directly support the work in serving the community.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years in nonprofit development
  • Proven track record of securing grants and donations; ability to meet fundraising goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong persuasive writing
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident in presenting to diverse stakeholders and building long-term donor relationships
  • Experience using donor databases (DonorPerfect preferred) and managing social media platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Canva, Constant Contact, and WordPress are a plus
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative spirit and strong ethical judgment
  • Experience engaging diverse communities is highly valued
  • Former Military or First Responder is a plus

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:


  • Execute fundraising strategies aligned with the annual development plan
  • Write grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funder reports (government, foundation, and corporate)
  • Manage the full grant cycle in collaboration with the CEO, including compliance and reporting
  • Research funding opportunities aligned with the Frontline Care Center program needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, including site visit participation
  • Coordinate the development calendar, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met
  • Analyze program data to support development reporting and impact narratives
  • Develop engaging donor communications and solicitation materials
  • Assist in planning fundraising events and coordinating volunteers
  • Maintain donor database (DonorPerfect preferred) and manage website, social media, and external communication related to the Frontline Care Center
  • Participate in the organization's Resource Development and Marketing Communications committees
  • Support and mentor interns, volunteers, and staff involved in development activities
  • Complete administrative tasks and provide additional support as needed
