Director of Operations
Location: Fort Lauderdale
Salary:
We are hiring a Director of Operations to oversee operational departments and help drive efficiency, financial alignment, team performance, and continuous improvement across the full event production lifecycle. This is a senior leadership role for someone who can translate company strategy into strong operational execution while partnering closely with executive leadership and department managers.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee operational departments across pre-production, production planning, execution support, and post-event evaluation
- Partner with leadership to establish operational goals, budgets, forecasts, and performance priorities
- Monitor department performance against budget, profitability, staffing, and execution goals
- Lead process improvements, operational initiatives, vendor relationships, and system implementations
- Develop SOPs, workflows, training programs, and tools to improve team consistency and performance
- Review reporting across budgets, production, staffing, profitability, and post-event results
- Provide strategic oversight and escalation support when high-level operational issues arise
Ideal background:
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in operations, project management, or business leadership
- Proven experience managing teams, departments, and cross-functional initiatives
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and profitability management
- Experience building operational systems, workflows, SOPs, and process improvements
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and team development skills
- Analytical, organized, and comfortable making data-driven decisions
- Experience in events, production, logistics, or fast-paced operational environments preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, or related field preferred
