A well-established mechanical contractor is hiring an experienced Plumbing Professional to support commercial and/or multifamily projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on plumber who takes pride in quality workmanship, jobsite safety, and reliable execution in active construction environments.
Responsibilities (Depending on Level)
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems (water, waste, vent, storm)
- Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and isometrics (where applicable)
- Layout, measure, cut, thread, assemble, and hang pipe (copper, cast iron, PVC/CPVC, PEX, steel—based on projects)
- Perform rough-ins and finish work; set fixtures and test systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve field issues quickly while maintaining quality
- Coordinate with foremen/superintendents, other trades, and inspectors
- Follow safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Complete daily paperwork/time tracking as required
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial plumbing experience (service or construction)
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to job sites
- Basic tool proficiency and comfort using jobsite documentation processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman/Master license (or actively pursuing)
- Backflow certification, medical gas certification, or brazing experience (depending on scope)
- Experience with high-rise/multifamily, healthcare, industrial, or TI work
- Foreman experience or desire to grow into leadership
- OSHA 10/30
