Mammography Technologist

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (5 x 8-hour shifts), no weekends
• Full-Time
• Day shift
• Facility uses GE equipment
• Busy center with 15-20 patients per day

Education & Licensure Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology school and approved Mammography Technology program
• Basic or Advanced Life Support Certification
• Texas Medical Board (MRT) license or temporary license
• Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R)
• Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M)

Responsibilities:

• Perform mammography exams, ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures and selecting appropriate imaging techniques
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and administer contrast as necessary
• Enter and monitor patient data, maintain equipment, and perform quality assurance tasks
• Identify/report accidents, complaints, or equipment issues
• Take emergency calls within the department
• Ensure adherence to safety and organizational policies and standards
• Support professional growth, mentoring, and skills competency development
