Job Title: QA Engineer
Pay Rate: $55 – $81/hr
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 6-month assignment
Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to support testing, validation, and release readiness across internal and OEM device configurations. This role is responsible for ensuring quality across CI/CD pipelines, compliance with OEM requirements, and stability leading up to platform releases.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Windows BSP testing, device configuration, automation, and debugging, and thrives in highly collaborative, fast-paced engineering environments.
What You’ll Do
Device Setup & Configuration
- Flash builds onto development boards and OEM devices
- Configure UEFI, OS images, debugger settings, and crash dump collection
- Install and validate SoC, GPU, and platform drivers
Testing & Automation
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual tests across internal and OEM devices
- Perform functional, stress, power, and performance testing
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and subsystem-level issues
Defect Management
- Triage internal and OEM bugs and track reproduction status
- Collect logs, crash dumps, and diagnostic data to support debugging efforts
- Prepare detailed test execution reports and communicate results to execution teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with BSP, OEM QA, and automation teams to ensure timely validation
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support build readiness and issue resolution
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience with Windows BSP testing and platform setup
- Familiarity with UEFI flashing, KDNET debugging, and test automation tools
- Strong understanding of power states, hibernate cycles, and modern standby
- Proficiency in bug triage, log analysis, and reporting
- Prior experience validating OEM devices
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines supporting BSP builds and QA automation
- Familiarity with USB4, DisplayPort tunneling, and certification readiness activities
