Global Localization Manager

Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid (in Office 3 days)

Pay Rate: $45–$55.95/hr

Duration: 12-month assignment

Hours: 40 hours/week


Summary:

Our Client’s Global Localization team ensures that every customer experience feels authentic, relevant, and seamless across all languages and regions. We are seeking a Localization Project Manager to lead the end-to-end planning, strategy, and execution of localization projects for global UI features and App Store marketing content. This role ensures that our localized experiences maintain the highest quality standards, adhere to strict confidentiality, and reflect the brand’s voice across up to 40 languages and markets.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented project manager with deep cross-functional experience, a strong grasp of cultural nuance, and a passion for connecting technology with local audiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the end-to-end planning and management of localization projects to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality, secure, and culturally relevant content.
  • Develop and maintain localization strategies, requirements, and documentation for engineering and product development teams.
  • Partner closely with internal and external localization teams, including QA, vendors, editorial, and business stakeholders, to deliver world-class localized experiences.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of detailed localization requirement documents, ensuring technical and linguistic accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Monitor translation quality, assess project performance, and provide regular progress reports across key project phases.
  • Collaborate with the Localization QA team to establish in-context QA strategies that ensure exceptional user experiences.
  • Manage and update glossaries, style guides, and reference materials to maintain consistency across software, marketing, and support ecosystems.
  • Coordinate localized App Store content production, ensuring voice consistency and cultural sensitivity across all territories.
  • Balance multiple high-impact projects simultaneously while maintaining operational excellence and proactive problem-solving.


What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in localization project management, preferably within a global technology, media, or consumer brand.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects across multiple time zones and languages.
  • Strong understanding of localization processes, tools, and vendor management practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivering localized UI features and marketing content at scale.
  • Familiarity with the Apple ecosystem (hardware, software, and services).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and think strategically.
  • High attention to detail paired with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering, QA, and creative teams in fast-paced environments.

  • Native-level fluency in a second language.
  • Experience managing localization projects across 40+ languages or global markets.
  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Familiarity with data-driven quality metrics, translation automation tools, and localization technology.
  • Exceptional storytelling and content adaptation skills that bring brand voice to life across regions.
