Marketing Assistant

Location: Remote

Pay: $40/hr

Hours: 30hrs. a Week (Part-Time)

Duration: 6-Month Assignment


About the Role

Our client is seeking a Marketing Assistant II to play a crucial role in the creation and maintenance of editorial content for their Digital Store. Although primarily focused on US workflows, this position has wide-ranging implications on the platform’s overall global output. This is one of only two Editorial Assistant roles on the store globally, making it a highly impactful and visible opportunity.


What You’ll Do

Editorial Support (30%)

•      Lead the creation and maintenance of monthly editorial calendars that guide US teams and inform global editorial strategy.

•      Create all Quip templates and story EIs, build app and game collection EIs, and archive monthly content.

•      Coordinate with editors to receive invoice approvals for line items and generate monthly summaries.

•      Maintain the resourcing tab by tracking stories by DRI and design DRI for fast track and bundle.

•      Facilitate the maintenance of all US editorial content, ensuring ongoing support for recommendable efforts.


Production Support (40%)

•      Lead biweekly meetings and attend additional meetings to review upcoming stories, ensuring editorial and production are aligned on programming.

•      Support priority live kickoffs, cover story syncs, IAE stories, and other production priorities.

•      Maintain the resourcing tab, tracking stories by DRI and design DRI for fast track and bundle.

•      Attend fast track pitch meetings to discuss potential upcoming Fast Track stories and send New Fast Track Story Kickoff emails.

•      Organize and update Fast Track trackers, confirming run dates and story statuses are accurate.


Programming Support (30%)

•      Prepare and send out Friday programming emails.

•      Program story visibility dates.

•      Maintain security settings to ensure content confidentiality.

•      Update and maintain Programming Instructions.


What You’ll Bring

•      2-5 years of experience in editorial coordination, content operations, or marketing support roles.

•      Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple editorial calendars, trackers, and templates simultaneously.

•      Excellent communication skills for cross-functional coordination with editors, designers, and production teams.

•      Proficiency in collaborative tools such as Quip or similar content management platforms.

•      Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines across a fast-paced editorial cycle.

•      High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in tracking, scheduling, and reporting.

•      Comfort with confidential workflows and an understanding of the importance of information security.


What Sets You Apart

•      BONUS: Prior experience supporting digital marketplace, or platform editorial teams.

•      BONUS: Familiarity with global content workflows and understanding of how US editorial strategy informs international output.

•      BONUS: Experience with fast track or priority content processes in a publishing or media environment.

•      BONUS: Background working within large-scale tech companies or enterprise content operations.
