We are working with an exciting new start-up company in the Forex Industry to recruit for a Head of AML. This role is open to experienced candidates who are looking to advance in their careers!


Responsibility

  • Review the Company’s operations/services under relevant legislation and set/update the internal guidelines/control measures and evaluate whether the Company’s organisation/internal guidelines/control measures remain effective and appropriate;
  • Establish priorities determined by compliance risk assessment, ensuring that compliance risk is comprehensively monitored;
  • Establish policies and procedures in respect of AML and KYC;
  • Determine the frequency of monitoring activities performed based on priorities set;
  • Detect and record any risk of failure, shortcomings/weaknesses to comply with the obligations under the legislation governing the operations of the Company and/or in the application of the required practices, measures and procedures set by the Company and where deemed necessary to inform the Board of Directors and the Senior Management;
  • Develop AML training material and to perform, or arrange the performance of, training on an on-going basis to the employees;
  • Responsible for the implementation and integration of the relevant rules and regulations to the day-to-day business operations;
  • Ensure adherence to the Client Acceptance Policy and Due Diligence procedures when assessing prospective client’s applications to open a trading account with the Company;
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans, in consultation with the Board of Directors or Senior Management, for the resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future;
  • Ensure proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorised enforcement agencies as appropriate or required;
  • Attend seminars and courses to acquire the knowledge and skills needed for the improvements of proper procedures;
  • Prepare and submit to the Board of Directors and/or Authorities and/or Auditors all the necessary reports;
  • To collaborate with other departments regarding compliance issues for investigation and resolution;
  • To communicate and coordinate with internal departments;
  • Attend team meetings and share best practices with all employees / colleagues.
  • To respond to all requests and queries from the FIAU, including any other authority;
  • To ensure that the providers, subsidiaries, outsourcing offices and representative offices of the Company as applicable, have taken all necessary measures for achieving full compliance with the provisions of the Companies Policies & Procedures.
  • Record all audits carried out, supported by documentary evidence;
  • Ensure all relevant documents are kept in the headquarters of the Company, in appropriate records and available at all times for inspection whenever it is requested.


Requirements:

  • Have at least 3-5 years of experience in a Compliance role, specifically within the AML/MLRO function
  • Experience working for an MSFA licensed company
  • Experience working within the Forex industry
