Responsibilities:

  • Sushi Preparation: Prepare sushi ingredients, including rice, fish, seafood, vegetables, and other components according to established recipes and standards.
  • Sushi Rolling and Assembly: Roll and assemble sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other sushi dishes with precision and attention to detail, ensuring uniform size, shape, and presentation.
  • Knife Skills: Demonstrate excellent knife skills in slicing, dicing, and cutting various ingredients, especially fish and seafood, to ensure consistent quality and texture.
  • Quality Control: Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality, including fish and seafood, and discard any items that do not meet standards. Ensure that all sushi dishes leaving the kitchen meet presentation and taste standards.
  • Sanitation and Food Safety: Adhere to strict sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment. Follow proper handling, storage, and temperature control procedures for all ingredients.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and supplies, including fish, rice, nori, and condiments. Place orders for replenishment as needed and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other kitchen staff, such as sushi chefs, kitchen assistants, and servers, to ensure smooth operations during service. Communicate effectively with team members to maintain efficiency and quality.
  • Menu Development: Assist in developing new sushi menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings. Provide input on ingredient selection, flavor combinations, and presentation techniques.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders, answering questions about sushi dishes, and accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain sushi preparation areas, equipment, and utensils, including sushi knives, cutting boards, and rolling mats. Follow proper cleaning and sanitization protocols to ensure food safety.


Requirements:

  • Ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Be organized and have strong communication skills in English (minimum B1-B2 level)
  • Motivation to deliver an incredible customer service
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Must hold an European Passport

  • Competitive salary starting in the range - €2000 - €2200 per month
