The Opportunity  

As Construction Manager, you will be tasked with leading a pivotal two-year industrial project in Western Canada. This role places you at the center of execution, aligning teams, guiding operations and strengthening partnerships that will carry forward long after project completion. Every decision you make will carry weight, shaping both immediate outcomes and the careers of those who look to you for guidance. 

This initiative will test your expertise, showcase your ability to deliver at scale while influencing the future of industrial construction.  

 

Key Responsibilities  

As Construction Manager, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for: 

  • Lead overall project execution, ensuring seamless planning, scheduling, and resource allocation while maintaining budget discipline. 
  • Build, mentor, and develop field leadership teams including superintendents, forepersons, and junior staff fostering performance and growth. 
  • Make strategic decisions on construction methods, quality standards, and safety practices that drive excellence. 
  • Supervise and coordinate multiple superintendents and trade crews, ensuring alignment with project goals. 
  • Support pre-tender preparation, estimates, and execution planning, while actively participating in client-facing meetings. 
  • Maintain strong communication with project managers, owners, subcontractors, and crews to ensure collaboration at every stage. 
  • Oversee job cost performance, reporting, and compliance with company standards. 
  • Direct mobilization at project start-up and lead through to project close-out and warranty follow-up. 
  • Proactively engage in client relations, project qualification efforts, and industry networking to strengthen long-term partnerships. 

 

Qualifications  

As Construction Manager, you will possess the following qualities: 

The Essentials (Hard Skills): 

  • 10-15 years of proven leadership experience in an Industrial Construction Manager or related experience. 
  • Journeyperson trades certificate considered an asset.  
  • Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, estimating, and risk management. 
  • Proven experience in supervising superintendents, forepersons, and diverse trade crews. 
  • Experience managing job costs, project reporting, and compliance with company standards. 
  • Ability to make informed decisions on construction methods, quality, and safety. 
  • Skilled in leading mobilization, execution, and close-out of large-scale projects. 
  •
