  • Develop project strategies, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with engineers and superintendents
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal teams to maintain progress and quality
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, permits, and safety regulations
  • Respond to project delays, challenges, or field conditions with proactive solutions
  • Track and control costs, prepare pay applications, and approve/reject vendor invoices
  • Attend and lead job site meetings with owners, engineers, and field personnel
  • Support site mobilization, logistics, and daily construction operations
  • Maintain client relationships and deliver clear updates on project milestones

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience managing construction projects, with a focus on WWTP, sewer, or heavy civil infrastructure
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction documents, engineering plans, and specifications
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and scheduling skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in project management systems and tools
  • Ability to travel to job sites across North Carolina (25%)

Preferred Experience

  • Previous work with treatment facilities, pump stations, or heavy civil infrastructure
  • Field experience managing site logistics, subcontractors, and inspections
  • Familiarity with state/local environmental and construction regulations

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – $125,000
  • Bonus: Discretionary project performance bonus (5–10%)
  • Perks & Support:
  • Company truck or vehicle allowance
  • Per diem and fuel card for project travel
