Compensation: $90,000 base salary + quarterly bonuses
Bonus: Quarterly commission with Year 1 OTE of ~$150,000 to 160,000 – $170,000
Job Summary:
We’re hiring an Account Executive to cover a multi-faceted healthcare, laboratory, and research sales territory across Ohio. In this field-based role, you’ll serve hospitals, universities, research facilities, and clinical labs—building relationships with healthcare providers, supply chain partners, and channel distributors. This position offers the chance to join a collaborative, growing sales organization where you’ll sell capital equipment, consumables, and service contracts into highly respected academic and healthcare institutions. You’ll work directly with a diverse group of customers, including Ohio State University and several regional hospital networks, as well as large distribution partners like Cardinal Health and Fisher. What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow sales across Ohio with responsibility for hospitals, labs, research facilities, and academic institutions
- Develop strong relationships with decision makers and influencers across multiple verticals (clinical, research, procurement, lab management)
- Partner with channel and distribution teams to maximize market share
- Present capital equipment, consumables, and service contract solutions to meet client needs
- Actively manage sales funnel using Salesforce to forecast and drive territory growth
- Conduct product training, onboarding, and service coordination as part of the sales process
- Attend industry events, tradeshows, and customer meetings as required
- Provide ongoing support to clients post-sale to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 2+ years of sales experience with a track record of performance
- Prior experience selling into healthcare, clinical research, or life sciences strongly preferred
- Background selling capital equipment, consumables, or medical laboratory products
- Experience managing channel partner and distribution relationships is highly preferred
- Strong business development, negotiation, and territory management skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a complex sales cycle independently
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the assigned territory
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience supporting academic research institutions or major health systems
- Experience calling on hospital purchasing, supply chain, and laboratory decision makers
- Prior exposure to histology, pathology, or laboratory diagnostic equipment
- Familiarity with Cardinal Health, Fisher, or other national distribution partners
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $85,000 to $90,000
- Bonus: Quarterly commissions; Year 1 OTE ~$160,000 – $170,000
