District Partners has been retained by a large North American transportation and logistics organization to identify a Vice President – Controller reporting directly to the CFO.

This role will oversee all accounting operations for a ~$1B multi-entity organization, ensuring strong financial reporting, internal controls, tax compliance, and cost management while serving as a key finance partner to executive leadership. The organization operates a large-scale transportation platform with operations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico and is seeking a hands-on finance leader capable of managing complex accounting operations while building and developing a high-performing team.

What You'll Do:

• Lead all accounting operations across a multi-entity organization
• Ensure accurate GAAP financial reporting and close processes
• Oversee tax compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
• Establish and maintain cost accounting standards and cost management initiatives
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and operational guidance
• Lead and develop an accounting team of 8 direct / 15+ indirect reports

What You'll Have:

• CPA required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience leading accounting teams in complex organizations
• Strong P&L and balance sheet oversight
• Experience in public company or large-scale operating environments preferred
• Experience with multi-entity or multi-location operations
