NetSuite Solutions Architect
USA
Apply for this job

District Partners is actively supporting a globally recognized, mission-driven organization in its search for a NetSuite Architect to serve as the primary technical authority for its enterprise ERP ecosystem. This is not a configuration or functional role—it is a hands-on architectural and engineering leadership position for someone who designs systems, writes production code, and raises the bar for an already high-performing team.

You will define the future-state architecture of a complex, multi-team NetSuite environment undergoing significant modernization: platform restructuring, a major e-commerce migration, multicurrency and localization rollout, and deep integration work across cloud platforms. If you thrive on technically demanding, high-impact work and want a clear path to long-term full-time employment—this is it.

You will be joining a collaborative engineering team known for strong technical talent, access to best-in-class AI and development tooling, and a culture that rewards people who take initiative and deliver results.

What You'll Do:

Architecture & Design

  • Own the conceptual, logical, and technical architecture for NetSuite and all related integrations
  • Maintain future-state roadmaps, data flows, integration patterns, and governance standards
  • Define solution scope for enterprise NetSuite enhancements aligned to organizational objectives
  • Design end-to-end solutions spanning financials, revenue management, procurement, CRM, and reporting

Hands-On Development

  • Write, review, and approve code - pull requests must meet production quality standards from day one
  • Design and build application customizations, scripting frameworks, and workflow automation
  • Implement and enforce unit testing standards integrated into GitHub deployment pipelines
  • Apply SDF for all object deployments; leverage MapReduce patterns for performance optimization
  • Drive concurrency monitoring and system performance initiatives

Integration & Platform

  • Lead integration work across NetSuite and connected platforms (e-commerce, cloud services)
  • Apply REST, SOAP, and middleware integration patterns at enterprise scale
  • Support multicurrency and localization implementation across a multi-subsidiary environment

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance to developers and cross-functional business teams
  • Conduct as-is / to-be process analysis to inform architecture strategy
  • Collaborate across multiple engineering sub-teams - this is a team environment, not a solo role
  • Mentor developers; champion code quality, testing practices, and documentation standards
  • Lead build-vs-buy evaluations and communicate ROI recommendations to leadership

What You'll be focused on:

From day one, you will be leading or contributing to:

  • Enterprise-wide NetSuite architectural restructure for scalability and long-term performance
  • E-commerce platform migration - moving off a native ERP cart to a modern commerce platform
  • Localization and multicurrency rollout across a global, multi-subsidiary environment
  • Cross-platform integration across ERP, e-commerce, and cloud services
  • Scalable scripting modernization: MapReduce patterns replacing legacy scheduled scripts
  • GitHub-integrated unit testing and automated deployment pipeline development
  • Revenue recognition process engineering and system compliance work

What You'll Have:

Required - no exceptions:

  • 7+ years of hands-on NetSuite development experience
  • Demonstrable coding ability - must write and review code, not just configure or consult
  • SuiteScript Development Framework (SDF)
  • GitHub - PRs, branching strategy, CI/CD pipeline integration
  • Active use of AI tools in development workflows - this is a hard requirement
  • Must be able to speak concretely to how AI is applied in your day-to-day work
  • Direct, clear communication style - able to answer technical questions without hedging
  • Self-directed work style - identifies what needs to be done and does it

Strongly Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • 3+ years in an architecture or advanced ERP role within the broader experience profile
  • SuiteCloud Developer Certification - a significant differentiator
  • Multicurrency / multi-subsidiary NetSuite experience (OneWorld)
  • Experience integrating NetSuite with e-commerce or cloud platforms
  • Background working within larger engineering teams and collaborative code review cultures
  • Test-framework mindset - builds unit tests, validates own code before submission
  • MapReduce and concurrency monitoring experience
  • AWS or other cloud platform exposure or certification

Why This Role:

  • Technical ownership - you define the architecture, not just implement someone else's design
  • Best-in-class tooling - AI tools, SDF, GitHub, full modern dev stack provided from day one
  • High-caliber team - you will be working alongside some of the best NetSuite engineers in the industry
  • Real complexity - novel, intellectually demanding problems; no maintenance-mode work
  • Path to full-time - strong performers are converted to FTE; this organization wants to keep great talent
  • Mission-driven organization - globally recognized with a long-standing reputation and real-world impact
