District Partners has been exclusively engaged by a leading and rapidly expanding food manufacturing company to identify a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Finance. This executive will serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and play a critical role in guiding the company through its next stage of growth.
The company operates across multiple production facilities and serves both retail and foodservice markets nationwide. With a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence, they are poised for continued market leadership.
The Vice President of Finance will oversee the full scope of financial strategy, operations, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing cost management, data-driven decision making, and cross-functional partnership. This individual will lead and develop a high-performing finance team while working closely with the CEO and leadership peers to scale and optimize the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to drive business performance and strategic decision-making.
- Oversee accounting, FP&A, cost accounting, treasury, and internal controls across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Implement and refine standard costing systems, inventory management controls, and plant-level P&L analysis.
- Partner with operations and supply chain to optimize margins, reduce waste, and improve cash flow.
- Support pricing strategy, capital allocation, and investment planning in alignment with company growth objectives.
- Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial partners.
- Guide the finance function through system enhancements, including ERP and reporting improvements.
- Build and lead a cohesive, scalable finance and accounting team, fostering development and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, including senior-level experience within a manufacturing organization—preferably food, beverage, or CPG.
- Strong command of cost accounting, inventory management, and plant financial operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and team development skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial planning tools (NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
