We are seeking a Temporary Full-Time Senior Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations and year-end close. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting or Business and has strong experience using multiple accounting systems, including QuickBooks, Bill.com, and Sage Intacct. This is a Remote, full-time, temporary role. 

ORGANIZATION: Healthcare Nonprofit

LOCATION: Remote (May have to work EST hours) 

POSITION TITLE: Senior Staff Accountant

SCHEDULE: Part-time in January for training and then 40 hrs/week February onwards.

DURATION: Temporary 

Pay- $35/hr - $40/hr

Is This Your Dream Job? This role is responsible for accounts payable, cash receipts, reconciliations, and supporting month-end and fiscal year close activities. The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient accounting processes.

 Our Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• A minimum of 5 years of nonprofit accounting experience
• Strong experience with multiple accounting software platforms, such as QuickBooks, Bill.com, Sage Intacct
• Solid understanding of fund accounting and nonprofit financial reporting
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

How You Will Spend Your Day:

• Process and manage accounts payable, including vendor payments and expense coding.
• Record and reconcile cash receipts, deposits, and donor revenue.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with nonprofit accounting standards.
• Assist with month-end and fiscal year-end close activities.
• Collaborate with finance leadership to improve accounting processes and controls.
