We are currently in search of a Database and Development Coordinator for a Mental Health and Social Services organization located in Chicago, IL. This is a Part-Time (20 hrs./wk.), Hybrid, Temporary assignment.

LOCATION: Chicago (Southside), IL

POSITION TITLE: Database and Development Coordinator

SCHEDULE: 20 Hours a week - Hybrid ( one day in person )

DURATION: Temporary (potential for extension)

HOURLY RATE: $21/hr-25/hr. DOE

 

Is This Your Dream Job? This entry-level position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in setting up and managing fundraising databases, particularly NEON CRM. The coordinator will help ensure that the donor database is structured effectively, records are maintained accurately, and the development team has the tools and reports needed to meet fundraising goals. 


 Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, information systems, business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Direct experience with NEON CRM required, including setup and daily management.
  • Entry-level experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or data management preferred.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects under deadlines.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to train others and write documentation.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable to the evolving needs of a development department.


How You Will Spend Your Day:


  • Lead the setup, customization, and configuration of NEON CRM for organizational use.
  • Develop and document database procedures, standards, and workflows.
  • Ensure accurate donor, gift, and pledge entry, including importing and cleaning legacy data.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and serve as the primary contact for NEON support.
  • Build and maintain donor reports, dashboards, and queries to support fundraising strategy.
  • Track donor giving patterns and provide data insights to the development team.
  • Create systems for monitoring campaign performance and donor engagement.
  • Provide basic training and support to staff on NEON CRM usage.
  • Develop clear documentation for database processes and reporting protocols.
