Job Title: Associate Director, Social Media Analytics
Location- New York City, hybrid 2x/week
Compensation- Target base salary: $130K to $140K
Overview
A top digital media agency is seeking an Associate Director, Social Media Analytics to lead social media performance reporting and analytics for a large enterprise client. This role is focused on measuring and interpreting organic social performance, with some exposure to paid, boosted, and influencer activity.
The right person will be highly comfortable with social platform data, experienced in performance reporting, and able to work directly with clients while partnering closely with internal data science and engineering teams. This is not a social listening or pure research role. It is a performance analytics role centered on reporting quality, insight development, and client delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Lead social media performance analytics across organic social, with additional exposure to boosted content, paid social, and influencer activity
- Act as a key client contact for reporting requests, analytics questions, and performance insight delivery
- Own weekly data QA to ensure all posts, metrics, and reporting inputs are flowing correctly into dashboards and reporting systems
- Manage recurring reporting deliverables, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting needs
- Analyze social platform data across channels such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and similar platforms
- Translate performance data into clear insights, trends, and recommendations for clients
- Partner closely with internal data science and engineering teams to ensure reporting quality, accuracy, and delivery
- Help guide reporting structure, benchmarking, and measurement outputs across multiple stakeholders
- Serve as the bridge between the client and internal technical teams to ensure reporting solutions are accurate, useful, and delivered on time
What You’ll Bring
- 5 to 7+ years of experience in social media analytics, digital analytics, or performance reporting
- Strong understanding of social media performance metrics across organic and paid/boosted content
- Experience working with social platform data and explaining trends, performance shifts, and content results
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Experience supporting large enterprise or blue-chip clients
- Strong attention to detail and comfort owning data QA and reporting accuracy
- Experience working with internal analytics, BI, data science, or engineering teams
- Ability to turn complex social performance data into clear business insights
Preferred
- Experience with influencer analytics
- Experience with Tableau or similar reporting environments
- Agency, consultancy, or analytics background supporting social media reporting
- Familiarity with broader digital reporting environments and cross functional delivery
