Job Title: Laboratory Supervisor

Pay: Commensurate of experience ~$35-40 per hour

$15k sign on bonus

Shift: Full-time, onsite

Our client, a well-established healthcare facility in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join their team. This full-time, onsite role involves overseeing both technical and non-technical laboratory staff, as well as managing daily operations in various departments to ensure the highest standards of patient care, service, and regulatory compliance are met. As the Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating activities across assigned areas, including specimen collection, processing, and testing, while fostering a healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise lab personnel, processes, and service levels to meet organizational and regulatory standards.
• Oversee areas such as specimen collection, processing, and referral testing.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and department goals regarding quality, financial performance, and patient satisfaction.
• Perform both technical and non-technical duties as needed.
• Facilitate the integration of intra and inter-departmental activities to optimize workflow and service quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
• Current State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor General License required.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Licensure in 3 technical specialty areas is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other reporting tools.
• Experience with Medi-tech software is preferred.
• National certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB is required.
