Corporate Associate (Mid-Level)

Practice Area: Corporate Law

Location: Portland, OR

Compensation: $310,000 to $390,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.


Position Overview: A prestigious, full-service law firm is seeking a talented and motivated Corporate Associate to join its dynamic business practice in Portland. The ideal candidate will possess four to six years of substantive experience in corporate law and will play a pivotal role in a practice renowned for its sophisticated and collaborative approach.


Responsibilities: This position offers the opportunity to engage in a diverse and challenging range of corporate matters. The associate will be integral to handling mergers and acquisitions, advising emerging growth companies, and providing general corporate counsel. The role involves structuring and negotiating strategic transactions, managing financings for companies at various stages of development, and advising on corporate governance and compliance matters.


Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record.
  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar (or eligibility for admission).
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in a reputable law firm setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in M&A, venture capital/emerging companies, or general corporate law.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
