Job Description:

The Judicial Clerkship Track Associate will be entrusted with substantive responsibilities from the outset, acting as a pivotal force in the firm’s most sophisticated and challenging litigation matters. This role requires leveraging the unique procedural and legal acumen acquired during a federal or state judicial clerkship to immediately contribute to client success. Key functions include: conducting deep-dive legal research to inform critical case strategies; drafting and refining persuasive dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and complex memoranda; and formulating sophisticated litigation strategies. The Associate will be a primary resource for interpreting rules of evidence and procedure, assisting with witness preparation, and engaging in pre-trial discovery and motions practice. Candidates must possess the independent judgment and intellectual curiosity necessary to navigate novel legal issues and contribute meaningfully to trial advocacy both inside and outside the courtroom. This is a role for a driven professional seeking to be an integral part of the litigation team.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited Law School.
  • Prior or impending completion of a Federal or State Judicial Clerkship is an absolute requirement.
  • Admission in good standing, or ability to be admitted, to the New York State Bar.
  • Demonstrated record of highest academic achievement and superior legal writing ability.
  • Exceptional judgment, strong professional character, and superior interpersonal skills for seamless integration into team dynamics.


Preferred Skills:

  • Participation in prestigious law school co-curricular activities, such as Law Review, Moot Court, or Trial Advocacy.
  • Advanced proficiency and procedural mastery in the Federal and/or New York State Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence.
  • A proven capacity for creative, independent thinking and the proactive assumption of significant professional responsibilities.
  • An advanced legal credential, such as an L.L.M. in a specialized area of law (e.g., Securities, Antitrust, or Intellectual Property Litigation).
