Litigation Associate – Capital Markets and Financial M atters

Overview:

People Placers has been exclusively engaged by a nationally recognized litigation firm to recruit a Litigation Associate for its Miami office. The firm is known for handling high‑stakes, complex disputes for major corporate, financial, and individual clients across the United States

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of complex commercial litigation, from case initiation through trial and appeal, under partner supervision.kasowitz
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive filings in state and federal courts.lawcrossing
• ​Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.kasowitz
• Manage written and electronic discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and coordinating document review.lawcrossing
• Take and defend depositions, participate in hearings, and support trial teams on high‑stakes matters (e.g., complex commercial, financial services, securities, real estate, and other business disputes, depending on experience and interest).kasowitz
• Communicate with clients, experts, and co‑counsel, providing practical, business‑oriented advice and case updates.lawcrossing

Ideal Candidate Profile

• J.D. from a top accredited law school with strong academic credentials.lawcrossing

• Admission in good standing to the Florida Bar (or ability to obtain admission promptly).
• Approximately 3–5 years of significant litigation experience at a leading law firm, with a focus on complex commercial matters, financial disputes, securities, or related areas.lawcrossing
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, with a demonstrate ability to draft high‑quality briefs and motions.
• Experience managing multiple cases and workstreams simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.kasowitz
• Strong courtroom presence, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively within small, trial‑focused teams.kasowitz
