RN Nurse Manager

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Margate)

Salary/Pay Rate: $38.52 - $53.70 per hour based on experience. Sign-on bonus available on a case-by-case basis.//

Schedule: Day Shift, full-time (No Weekends)

Unit/Specialty: Medical Telemetry (32-36 beds)

Job Description:

The Nurse Manager is a key leadership role responsible for organizing and managing patient care within the Medical Telemetry unit. This position focuses on enhancing patient outcomes by managing human resources, providing staff education, and implementing continuous quality improvement processes. The Nurse Manager acts as a role model for quality care and customer satisfaction, collaborating with medical staff to ensure the highest standards of care. This role requires critical thinking and leadership in planning and directing nursing care in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.


Required Skills:

  • Current Florida or Compact State RN license
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or must be obtained within 30 days of employment)
  • Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience as a Charge Nurse, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or in Nursing Management
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Charge Nurse/Clinical Nurse Coordinator experience in an acute care setting


Preferred Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage day-to-day workflow and staff scheduling
  • Experience in hiring and interviewing nursing staff
  • A background in managing teams during stressful times with low resources
  • Experience reporting to a Director of Nursing (DON)
  • Experience with a multi-campus, multi-site hospital system and free-standing Emergency Departments.
