Registered Nurse

Unit: CVOR, open heart

Location: Kissimmee, FL

Relocation assistance is considered on a case-by-case basis.

Salary: $32 per hour to $46.25 per hour

Differentials +$4 per hour on-call; +$4.50 per hour nights, +$1.50 for having a national certification in nursing


A leading healthcare provider, engaged via our third-party recruitment agency, is actively looking to bring on a specialized Open Heart procedures (CVOR) registered nurse. The qualified candidate must be either registered to practice nursing within the State of Florida, have a compact license permitting them to obtain clearance to practice in Florida or be able to timely waive into Florida within 30 days of offer.


This full-time regular position is for day-to-day operations, and may call for evening shifts and on-call responsibilities occasionally, which typically involves one shift per week and one weekend per month.



Required Qualifications

  • In this essential role, you will deliver specialized nursing care in cardiovascular operating room settings, focusing on open heart surgeries within an acute care facility.
  • Responsibilities encompass providing direct patient support during procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and collaborating with surgical teams to optimize outcomes.
  • This position demands strong clinical skills in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient care and team efficiency.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in open heart (CVOR) operations within an acute care setting.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida, or the ability to secure it before starting.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from an American Heart Association healthcare provider are mandatory.
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification is preferred.
