Category: Part Time (16 to 29 hours per week)
Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Salary: $17.75 per hour
Reports to: Senior Graphic Designer
Location: Onsite at TCWGlobal Corporate Office (San Diego, CA)
Start Date: ASAP
Position Summary:
TCWGlobal has been named "Best Place to Work" by the San Diego Tribune 11 times. Why? Because we create an environment where excellence meets enjoyment, and purpose meets growth.
We offer perks that make work life better—a beautiful campus with flexible workspaces, a full onsite gym with lounges, massage rooms, an onsite restaurant, plus chef-prepared meals. In addition, your passion for making a difference matters here. We'll match your charitable gifts up to $5,000 and give you 16 paid hours to volunteer for causes close to your heart. We believe that when we help our community thrive, we all grow stronger.
We are a team of experienced HR professionals offering payrolling, staffing, pre-screening, international services, and overall HR-related solutions for our clients’ contingent workforces. Our dedication to customer service and focus on utilizing technology for streamlining processes is our core philosophy.
If you're ready to join a team of unstoppable go-getters, a company culture that encourages growth and connectedness, and an organization that truly cares about its employees and the world, then TCWGlobal is the place for you!
At TCWGlobal, we believe that great design builds community. We are looking for a creative, friendly, and eager Graphic Design Intern to join our Marketing family. This isn’t the kind of internship where you’ll be stuck in a corner—you will be a key part of our team, helping us tell our story through engaging visuals.
We are looking for someone who loves to collaborate, isn't afraid to ask questions, and is ready to take ownership of their creativity. You will work side-by-side with our Senior Designer, turning big ideas into real-world assets that connect with our audience and support our teammates across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Bring Ideas to Life: Create eye-catching graphics for our social media (Instagram, LinkedIn), email newsletters, and digital ads that get people talking.
-
Be a Brand Guardian: Help us keep our look consistent and professional by updating templates, polishing presentation decks, and ensuring our internal documents look as good as our external ones.
-
Brainstorm & Collaborate: Pull up a chair at our creative sessions! We want to hear your voice and ideas for upcoming campaigns and marketing strategies.
-
Support the Team: Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, and other departments to help them solve their visual challenges-whether it's a flyer, a slide deck, or a digital banner.
-
Own Your Projects: You'll manage the full creative process for your tasks, from the initial sketch to the final saved file.
What You Will Learn:
-
Life on a Team: You'll experience what it really means to be part of a supportive company culture. You'll learn how to build trust with colleagues, contribute to a positive office vibe, and see how your attitude impacts the team's success.
-
Community Engagement: We take pride in our office community. You will learn how active participation in culture, initiatives, and events, drives personal growth and makes work more fun.
-
Real-World Workflow: You'll move beyond the classroom and learn how to navigate a professional design process, managing deadlines and delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment.
-
The Art of Feedback: You'll learn how to take creative notes from multiple colleagues and use that feedback to make your designs even stronger.
-
Strategic Thinking: You'll learn to look past "making it pretty" and start designing with a purpose to solve actual business problems.
-
Technical Polish: You'll sharpen your skills in print specs (CMYK, bleeds) and digital standards, ensuring your work is always production-ready.
Qualifications & Skills:
- You are currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a Graphic Design or Fine Arts program.
- You know your way around Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and have a portfolio to prove it (class projects are great!).
- Strong working knowledge of Canva (we use it for quick, collaborative templates).
- You have a great eye for typography, color, and layout.
- Bonus Points: You know Figma or have some experience updating websites.
- You are a clear communicator who loves to learn and thrives in a team setting.
- You are detail-oriented but approachable—you take the work seriously, but you don’t take yourself too seriously.
