Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Projects Controller opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.

Job Description:

As the Assistant Projects Controller, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Track and analyze the financial performance of assigned construction projects (including budgets, actual costs, billings, revenue, margins, and cash flow). Maintain project forecasts, estimates to complete, and estimates at completion; identify and communicate cost, schedule, and margin variances.
  • Prepare and submit accurate customer invoices for assigned construction projects in accordance with contract requirements, project milestones, and approved schedules of values.
  • Manage the accounts receivable process for assigned projects, including payment tracking, aging review, customer follow-up, and resolution of billing discrepancies.
  • Support monthly financial close activities, including revenue recognition, accruals, reconciliations, and project reporting.
  • Communicate with Project Managers, Scheduling/Project Controls, Engineering, Procurement, and other stakeholders to maintain accurate project financial information and provide input for Project Status Meetings. 
  • Oversee bonding documentation and data coordination for assigned construction projects, supporting timely bond issuance and maintenance.
  • Assist with due diligence, financial reporting, and integration of potential future acquisitions. 

 

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong work ethic, communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • United States Citizenship is required
