Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Controls/Scheduling Specialist opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.

 

Hybrid schedule available based on project needs

 

Position Overview:

  • Support the Construction Projects Division by providing project controls and scheduling services that assist with planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in Primavera P6, including resource loading, progress updates, and schedule forecasting to support project execution and reporting.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to gather schedule information, monitor progress, and identify potential risks or impacts to project milestones.
  • Analyze project schedules to identify critical path impacts, evaluate schedule health, assess risks, and support proactive project planning and decision-making.
  • Support project controls activities, including budget tracking, forecasting, change management, and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting, as applicable.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports, schedule updates, progress metrics, and management presentations.
  • Assist in evaluating schedule changes, delays, and recovery plans, and provide recommendations to mitigate project impacts.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports, schedule updates, performance metrics, and supporting project controls documentation to facilitate project tracking and stakeholder awareness.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in project scheduling and control.
  • Experience with project controls fundamentals, including work breakdown structures (WBS), schedule development and maintenance, activity durations, logic and dependencies, critical path analysis, change management, Earned Value Management (EVMS), progress updates, and schedule analysis.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and collaborate with project stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
