Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Technical Advisor for Operational Readiness and Human Factors opportunity in Richland, WA for the DOE Hanford Field Office.

 

Position Overview:

The Technical Advisor for Operational Readiness and Human Factors will provide project controls support services in support of Tank Waste Mission and Business Operations. Support will be provided in the following areas:

 

  • Perform as the WTP/TWO Subject Matter Expert on Operational Readiness.
  • Perform as the WTP/TWO Subject Matter Expert on Human Factors and Human Performance.
  • Performs oversight and assessment of the contractor’s operational readiness programs.
  • Performs oversight and assessment of the contractor’s human factors and human performance programs.
  • Assist with the development of staffing plans, training needs, and division planning.
  • Performs oversight and assessment activities in the field on average 2x per week.
  • Monitor contractor work processes and report on successes or obstacles for maintenance and work control activities.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the contractor’s operational readiness, human factors and human performance programs.
  • Provide timely and accurate input (oversight reports, weekly reports, email, verbal, etc.) to WTP/TWO Management regarding the contractor’s operational readiness, human factors and human performance programs.
  • Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education – BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science or technical discipline.
  • At least 25 years of experience in contractor oversight, operational readiness assessment and oversight.
  • At least 25 years of experience in human factor/performance assessment and oversight.
  • Experience with researching and navigating complex federal regulations to determine requirements for contractor performance attributes.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with oversight of operational readiness attributes, human factors and human performance support directly to HFO.
  • Proven track record of success in performing/communicating oversight in a technical environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOE Hanford processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in DOE’s program management practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Expert level experience with various technology management tools used at Hanford.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Expert-level proficient in Microsoft 365 including MS Word and Excel.

Work Location: Work shall be conducted at the Hanford Field Office and the Hanford Site in Richland, WA with eligibility for situational telework at the discretion of management.

 

Compensation:

Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $150,000 and $250,000 annually.
